Taking the modernist tenet of simplicity to the highest level, this solid-wood block table melds smooth hand-turned legs with rough hewn lumber, resulting in what could easily be called "rustic modern".
The block itself is solid Rock Maple, also known as Hard or Sugar Maple and gets its rough, jagged surface from the teeth of a chainsaw blade. The top and bottom are sanded smooth, as are its legs.
