slat bench

Originally conceived as seating for our modern harvest table, this bench is reminiscent of Gustav Stickly’s Mission style furniture, with a Japanese simplicity often attributed to Tansu furniture.

Slender, minimalist slat construction and a large, flat top section give this bench a solid, yet airy appeal – our prototype has so far withstood the bulk of a 250lb person, while exhibiting no signs of stress.

Also doubles as an occasional or bedside table, with ample room for magazines and books, a reading light and more. In fact, the slat construction allows effortless maneuvering of electrical wires for those hard to reach wall sockets.
